This idol is prized by not only the local populationthe path to their salvation, but by Cornelius Hatcher, slavedriving operator of the Helldorado mining town who oppresses said population in the name of profits, and Hatcher just won't let Beck leave with Travis.
The Rocka bounty hunter who attempts to square a debt by heading to the Amazon jungle to capture someone. The bounty hunter discovers that his quarry isn't the bad guy he'd been warned about, and the two team up in pursuit of riches stored in a mine in the Amazon.
The Rundown or Welcome to The Jungle it's a typical modern adventure/action movie. Entire movie's idea wasn't too bad, though it contains nothing original but its implementation became only a disappointment because the story was poor written and awfully predictable all the way. Acting in the movie was pretty bad even for an action movie and about the directing I can say only the same. On the other hand the movie was well shot with carefully selected good scenery that brought reasonable exotic to the audience. Some jokes were really funny, although entire humor wasusual vulgar and silly Fight scenes look very typical for The Rock and they were quite different during the movie. While some of such action sequences were not bad a all most of them look only ridiculous and unreal. Overall The Rundown is nothing more than a silly action/adventure movie. It has some entertainment value but due to all its flaws and weak parts its worth seeing only for hard action fans or for fans of the Rock<br/><br/>4,7 out of 10. Sorry for my bad English.
Get the popcorn. It's quite watchable, except for Chistopher Walken who has been phoning it in forlongI can remember now. <br/><br/>Not great art for sure, but some cool machinery, some well-choreographed action sequences, some good laughs, and a workable plot. This film also plays perfectly to the talents of both Seann William Scott and "The Rock", which is what really keeps it right-side up. It's been said that casting is the most important decision in making a movie, and this film looks like good evidence.<br/><br/>The ending seems quite problematical to me, but up to that point, it all flows very well. This film begs for a sequel to elaborate on how "The Rock's" character works his way out of the difficult situation that he has certainly left himself in. Maybe one was intended and that is why it finished in this seemingly incomplete fashion.

In Great Britain, this movie had been cut in order to achieve the more lucrative BBFC12 rating, however, only the uncut US Theatrical Version was released on DVD (tagged"Director's Cut"). The later BD release turned out to be a bad surprise: despite the BBFC15 rating only the shortened BBFC12 version could be found on the disc! Nearly one and a half minutes are missing in this version.
